PIL in Supreme Court challenges government’s decision to withdraw 54% of the Pending Tax Cases……

We have challenged the Notification and the Circular dated 11.07.2018 issued by CBDT and CBIC respectively, whereby the threshold limit to file appeal at Supreme Court of India, by the government in Direct Tax Cases as well as Indirect Tax Cases, has been increased by Four times to Rs. One Crore.

The government wants to give effect to this increased threshold limit retrospectively by withdrawing the pending cases based on the said revised threshold limit.
